Monday Morning Parents Support Group
Monday, September 8th and Monday, September 22nd – 10am – 11:30am
A group for parents/guardians who are looking for support and information on their child’s behavior, emotions or mental health challenges.
***Please note that dates are 2nd and 4th Monday of September due to Labor Day Holiday falling on the first Monday of September.

Understanding Neuropsychological Evaluations
Wednesday, September 17th – 7pm-8:30pm
Guest Speaker – Dr. Joseph Moldover
Dr. Moldover is a clinical psychologist with specialty training in developmental neuropsychology. He works with children and adolescents with psychiatric, developmental, and learning needs. He will be talking with our group about evaluation strategies for working with children with mental health diagnoses and the issues in translating those evaluations into the educational system.

Basic Rights in Special Education
Thursday, September 18th – 7pm-9pm
Presented by the Federation for Children with Special Needs
Every child with a disability who receives special education services must have an Individual Education Program. This workshop takes parents step-by-step through the development of the IEP including how to articulate a vision, using evaluations to write measurable annual goals and measuring their child’s progress
