Peer Employment Training Class in Dorchester Part 1

Event:
Peer Employment Training (80 hour) Class in Dorchester Part 1
Start:
10/21/2013 8:00 am
End:
10/25/2013 5:00 pm
Peer Employment Training class DMH is offering in October in Dorchester, at the
Salvation Army Kroc Center 650 Dudley Street
Boston, MA 02125
T: 617.318.6900
F: 617.318.6999.
This is an exciting and demanding two-week class that will help prepare people for jobs as peer workers in the mental health field, and help individuals decide if they want to pursue the MA Certified Peer Specialist training.  This class isn’t meant to take the place of the CPS training, but will offer people an opportunity to have training for peer roles which do not require a MA CPS.  The class is offered at no charge, and a light breakfast and lunch are provided each day.  Lodging and transportation are not included.  We have seats for 20 people in the class.
The deadline for application is September 20th.
People should feel free to contact me by phone or email with additional questions. Rob Walker, MA Department of Mental Health, Office of Recovery and Empowerment, (617) 626-8275 – Central Office, (617) 694-4023 – Cell
