As a parent/guardian, do you approach your child’s/youth’s IEP meeting feeling apprehensive? You are your child’s/youth’s strongest advocate! Gain some tips from a former teacher, advocate and SpEd parent in this interactive workshop. Please feel free to bring a copy of your child’s/youth’s IEP.

Framingham, April 30th, 2016, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Autism Alliance, a program of Advocates, is hosting their annual sensory-friendly Kite Day at Bose Mountain. This is a private event exclusively for individuals with autism, their families, and others who may benefit from a sensory-friendly experience. Families will have the opportunity to enjoy a fun day outdoors together, with kite flying, train rides, police and fire trucks, service dogs, sensory acitivites, and more. Pizza, hot dogs, ice cream, and drinks will be available for a small cost. Rain date is May 1st. * Please bring your own kite. If you don’t have one, the Autism Alliance will have a limited supply on hand. * The cost of this event is $5 per carload.
